Isocore Internetworking Lab Completes IP-Optical
Integration Technology Validation Featuring IP Services over an
Intelligent Optical Core
We participated in the industry's first IP-Optical
integration testing, conducted by the Isocore Internetworking
Lab in October 2003. The IP-Optical technology validation involved
the deployment of multi-vendor IP/MPLS applications including
Layer 2 VPNs, Layer 3 VPNs, VPLS, and Fast Reroute applications,
over a fully dynamic intelligent optical core built using a GMPLS
control plane with routing.

MPLS/Frame Relay Alliance Interoperability
Demonstration at SUPERCOMM 2003
Our company was one of 12 equipment vendors participating
in the MPLS/Frame Relay Alliance Interoperability Demonstration
at SUPERCOMM 2003, where the first live public multi-vendor interoperability
demonstration of Frame Relay, ATM and Ethernet Virtual Private
LAN Services (VPLS) over MPLS was conducted. The demonstration
also showcased the multi-vendor interoperability of Fast Re-Route
(FRR), Layer 2 Point-to-Point Ethernet Services and Layer 3 RFC
2547bis VPN operation.
