ShadeTree MS Service Creator - Simplifies Subscriber Service Creation

Subscriber services can be tricky to define and maintain because the data that makes up the service may exist in multiple places, such as the network elements, the AAA database, or other supporting databases. Using the ShadeTree MS Service Creator graphical user interface (GUI), operators can define the operational service, update northbound data sources with that information, and prime the ST platform with any necessary configuration information required for the service.

Additionally, Service Creator will detect changes in the network-side configuration and flag the problem. Using the GUI, Service Creator provides the ability to check the service configuration against the AAA settings. Using Service Creator reduces the discrepancies in your network and systems configurations, thus reducing error rates and making deployment of new services easier.

ShadeTree MS Subscriber Manager - Enables Real-Time Subscriber Services

Subscriber Manager integrates with your existing infrastructure and applications to enable dynamic control of network resources. It provides the following functionality:
. Location Services - Locates and assesses the status of any active subscriber.

. Presence Management - Determines when the subscriber becomes active, how much time they spend on the network, and how much bandwidth they use.
. Dynamic Service Selection - Makes calls to Subscriber Manager to change a given subscriber's service level. Subscriber Manager will locate the subscriber, determine
their status, and execute a dynamic change to their service level.
. Service Activation - Adds and activates new users to existing operational systems. Applications for Subscriber Manager include: bandwidth service selection (such as timed usage models), VoD access, and public portal access.

ShadeTree MS Subscriber Manager Benefits
. Enables easy subscriber self-management, reducing the amount of operational time spent by staff
. Integrates easily into existing AAA environments
. Permits real-time subscriber service changes without service interruption
. Standard protocols and interfaces
. Highly available and scalable

ShadeTree MS Provisioner - Simplifies Layer 2/Layer 3 VPN Provisioning

Configuring a VPN can be complicated and is prone to errors. With ShadeTree MS Provisioner, operators have two ways to simplify this: they can use either the graphical user interface or the northbound API to easily create VPN services without having to worry about the underlying complexities. Simply choose the endpoints. Provisioner creates all the necessary configurations on all participating ST200s or ST50s. It's that easy.
