Light Reading Names Laurel Networks Top Private Company

Laurel Achieves Number One Position Based on Its Traction with Customers

Pittsburgh, PA - October 9, 2002 - Laurel Networks, Inc., the first provider of high-performance service edge routers, today announced that Light Reading, the global site for optical networks, has appointed Laurel to the number one position on its Top Ten Private Companies List.

In the Light Reading article accompanying the unveiling of its Top Ten Private Companies, the factors leading to Laurel's appointment to the top of the list were described.
