Laurel Showcases Triple Play Broadband and Advanced IP Services at SUPERCOMM

ST200 B-RAS Featured in Live DSLHome™ and CIENA Demonstrations; First Public Showing of New ST50 Service Edge Router

June 16, 2004 - Pittsburgh, PA - Laurel Networks, Inc. today announced its participation in SUPERCOMM 2004, with a series of live demonstrations showcasing how its new ST50™ Service Edge Router and flagship ST200™ Service Edge Router enable profitable delivery of advanced services including Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), triple play broadband and IP VPNs.

In the Laurel exhibit (#24820), business and consumer services will be demonstrated on the ST-series™ platform and Laurel Provisioning System™ using the Spirent Communications AX/4000 1 Gbps mAX IP routing generator/analyzers and advanced Broadband Access Test Suite. Only the ST-series delivers wire-speed performance with all advanced features enabled on every port at maximum scale.

The B-RAS (broadband remote access server) capabilities of the ST200 will be featured in the DSL Forum's DSLHome™ exhibit (#20229). The DSLHome is both an intelligent home demonstration and an end-to-end DSL network demonstration. Showcasing the latest in online and networked devices for the living room, bedroom and home office, all facilitated by DSL, the exhibit will demonstrate the strong linkage between exciting and effective home network applications and the latest in IP-centric DSL architecture.

In the exhibit of Laurel partner CIENA Corporation (#23815), the ST200 will provide the feature-rich B-RAS and IP/Internet routing functionality in CIENA's multi-product residential triple play demonstration of high-speed data, voice and video services - over copper (POTS + DSL) and fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP). At CIENA University (#24815), Laurel Director of Product Management Rafael Francis will present Broadband Performance Leads to Profits, an educational session open to all attendees.
