Overview: All carriers are looking for ways to profitably deliver switched and routed data services with the flexibility to support evolving requirements. Multi-service edge routers, which combine carrier-class routing, data switching and advanced QoS in a single platform, have the potential to significantly reduce operations costs while supporting any type of current and future data service. Join Liza Henderson, vice president of TeleChoice, as she presents the findings of a new study which examines the challenges faced in carrier data service networks and quantifies the impact of multi-service edge routers on carrier profitability. Laurel Networks vice president and co-founder Steve Vogelsang will describe the applications driving deployment of multi-service edge routers in the world's largest carrier networks.
