    Fact Sheet

Laurel Networks is modernizing the data service architectures of the world's largest carrier networks with its innovative IP-based multi-service data delivery solutions. Laurel's service edge routers and service management solutions are driving the creation of The New Service Delivery Architecture, a dramatically more efficient and flexible infrastructure enabling profitable delivery of all switched and routed data services at the edge of carrier IP/MPLS networks. Founded in October of 1999, Laurel Networks is headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA with sales and support facilities throughout the U.S. International operations are located in London, Hong Kong and Seoul, Korea.

Innovations
Laurel is the first company to combine full-featured data service support and complete Internet routing in a carrier-class IP-based platform. This unmatched service agility enables carriers to offer any type of data service (including MPLS Layer 2 and IP VPNs, Internet access, ATM, Frame Relay and Ethernet and broadband) over a range of interface speeds and access networks. To further meet the evolving service delivery needs of carriers, service types and speeds are software-configurable to support changing customer requirements. Together, these innovations dramatically reduce initial capital outlay and ongoing operations costs.

Market
Laurel Networks is a leader in the growing service provider edge router market, delivering solutions to the world's largest carriers including: Regional Bell Operating Companies (RBOCs); Interexchange Carriers (IXCs); Internet Service Providers (ISPs); Postal, Telephone and Telegraph agencies (PTTs); Multiple System Operators (MSOs); and wireless providers. Laurel's service edge routers and service management solutions are deployed by the world's largest service providers in the U.S., Europe and Asia, including Level 3 Communications, KT and Dacom.

Products

The ST200 combines Internet-class routing, complete multi-service support, integrated service management and unprecedented architecture flexibility to support current and evolving service provider requirements - all at wire speed.

Laurel Provisioning System: Developed in concert with the ST200 Service Edge Router, the Laurel Provisioning System (LPS) is a powerful, API-based service provisioning and management system offering a full spectrum of fault, configuration, accounting, performance and security management.
